Downtown Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a person for attempted home invasion robbery and intimidating a witness.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at about 7:39pm PT on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, a resident living in the area of 200 F Street in Downtown Needles, California was laying in bed inside her home.
The resident was startled by a black male adult who entered through the unlocked front door.
The intruder brandished a handgun from his waistband.
While the suspect was in the home the victim’s small dog became aggressive towards him and the suspect ran from the home.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at about 12:30pm PT on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, deputies received a 911 call from the victim reporting the black male subject, later identified as 23 year old Dominique Brown, was back and was loitering around her home.
The victim claimed Dominique Brown also contacted her in the front yard of her home on the evening of Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, and attempted to intimidate her, telling her to change her mind about filing charges against him.
While checking the area, deputies found Brown hiding in the rear yard of a nearby home at G Street and Third Street.
The victim identified Dominique Brown as the man who contacted her and attempted to intimidate her.
Dominique Brown was taken into police custody for attempted home invasion robbery and dissuading/intimidating a witness and was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail in Needles, California, and his bail is set at $100,000.
