Downtown Needles, CA: Victim’s small dog helps fight off a home invasion suspect.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at 7:39pm PT on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, deputies responded to a call of a home invasion on the 200 block of F Street in Downtown Needles, California.

The victim told deputies she was laying in bed, when a black male made entry through the unlocked front door.

He startled her and pulled out a grey handgun from his waistband area and made a statement to her.

The suspect was standing in the living room area when the victim’s small dog attacked him in the leg.

The suspect exited the home and left in an unknown direction.

The victim claims to have seen him walking in the area in the recent past.

The victim described the suspect as a black male in his 20’s or 30’s, very short black hair and wearing a green baseball type cap, blue jeans, a blue jean jacket, black shoes and a black colored T-shirt.

The suspect stood about 5’8″ and had an average build with no facial hair.
