Needles, CA: Deputies recover stolen property and arrested 2 people during search warrant.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at 1:02pm PT on Saturday, January 20th, 2018, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station assisted the Mohave County Sheriff’s Department with the recovery of a stolen vehicle on the 1000 block of East Broadway in Needles, California.
During the investigation, both suspects were positively identified as 60 year old Melissa Crepeau from Needles, California and 52 year old Karl Vongettrost from Needles, California.
Deputies attempted contact at Crepeau’s last known address on Zoe Lane, in Needles, California but neither subject would answer the door.
An arrest warrant was authored, as well as, a search warrant to the residence.
Upon serving the search warrant, both Crepeau and Vongettrost were taken into police custody without incident.
Additional stolen property was recovered at the residence.
Crepeau and Vongettrost were arrested for possession of stolen property and transported to the Colorado River Station Jail in Needles, California for booking.
Crepeau is being held on $50,000 bail, pending a court hearing.
Vongettrost, who is currently on parole for Domestic Violence, is being held on a No Bail Parole Violation pending a court hearing.
