Needles, CA: Deputies arrested 2 people with warrants along Smokestack Street.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at approximately 9:32am PT on Monday, January 15th, 2018, deputies were notified by Fort Mojave Tribal Police that 33 year old Joel Cameron from Needles, California was seen on the area of Smokestack Street and N Street in Needles, California.
Joel Cameron, who had a felony “No Bail Post Release Community Supervision” warrant for robbery, had previously eluded law enforcement on Tuesday, December 26th, 2017.
Deputies conducted an extensive search through the brush along the dirt extension of Smokestack Street, near the Colorado River.
Joel Cameron was located hiding in the brush and was taken into police custody without incident.
Joel Cameron was also found to have a $25,000 misdemeanor warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Also, 30 year old Vanessa Lozano from Needles, California, who was found with Cameron, was taken into police custody for a felony “No Bail” warrant for Child Cruelty.
Both Cameron and Lozano were transported and booked into the Colorado River Station jail and are being held pending a court hearing.
