News Alert!!: Needles, CA: City of Needles reminds all local marijuana dispensaries, cultivations, manufactures, and public, “No sales for adult, recreational, or non medical use allowed.”
With legal recreational marijuana sales about to kick off across California on Monday, January 1st, 2018, the City of Needles wants to remind all local marijuana dispensaries, cultivations, and manufactures as well as the public about their marijuana ordinance.
According to Needles City Manager Rick Daniels, “The City’s Marijuana Ordinance since first adopted has allowed marijuana for medical use only. All of the dispensary, cultivation, manufacturing, or other permits contain that medical use only limitation. No adult use or “recreational” sales of any kind is allowed. Additionally when each of these facilities with a local permit apply for the state permit, as required, it is circulated to the City for compliance certification, and the City will not certify a non-medical license/permit. Any violations of the local ordinance or state law will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law; both criminally and through civil proceedings, including revocation of any permit to operate. Let me be clear. No sales for adult, recreational, or non medical use is allowed.”
City of Needles wanted to remind everybody about their marijuana ordinance as many people prepare to run to their nearest marijuana retail to enjoy legalized recreational marijuana sales in California for recreational marijuana uses.
Voters in California approved Proposition 64, the California Marijuana Legalization Initiative, on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 with 57.13% (7,979,041) voting ‘Yes’ and 42.87% (5,987,020) voting ‘No’ on the California Marijuana Legalization.
