Needles, CA: Person arrested during traffic stop for transportation of a controlled substance for sale.
In a just released press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 2:12pm PT on Sunday, December 24th, 2017, deputies were dispatched to Needles Highway just north of Tamarack Lane in Needles, California, reference a vehicle traveling south bound that was all over the roadway.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, Deputy Vega did an area check and located the vehicle on Needles Highway, near West Broadway and conducted a traffic stop.
Contact was made with the driver, identified as 51 year old Michael Anthony Brooks from Mohave Valley, Arizona, who is currently on probation for possession of narcotics for sale.
During a search of Brooks’ vehicle, deputies located approximately 21 grams of suspected methamphetamine, which was packaged for sale, along with a scale and packaging material.
Brooks was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.
Brooks is being held on S100,000.00 pending a court hearing.
