Needles, CA: People arrested for possession of stolen vehicle and firearms well another man in connection with possession of dangerous drugs and stolen firearms is at large.
In a just released press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at about 8:24pm PT on December 22nd, 2017, deputies responded to the 300 block of North K Street in Needles, California for a report of a man with a gun that was possibly involved in a single vehicle traffic accident.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, witnesses stated they heard an altercation coming from a near-by house.
When deputies arrived on scene, 27 years old Julio Lopez from Mohave Valley, Arizona fled on foot.
Julio Lopez was apprehended a short distance away.
Julio Lopez was identified as a suspect that was wanted in Mohave Valley, Arizona for auto theft and the theft of firearms just prior to being contacted in Needles, California.
Witnesses directed the deputies to the house were the altercation had taken place.
Deputies knocked on windows and doors in an attempt to make contact with someone inside.
Deputies were unsuccessful and believing the recently stolen firearms could be inside, a search warrant was served on the house.
At least 2 people were located inside the house, 21 year old Kira Trivette from Mohave Valley, Arizona and 28 year old Nicholas Noriega from Bullhead City, Arizona
At least 10 of the stolen firearms were recovered.
Additionally, 520 rounds of ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and black tar heroin were recovered along with items indicative of drug sales.
The resident of the house, 26 year old Daniel Renova from Needles, California, left the scene prior to the arrival of deputies and possibly with the 2 outstanding stolen firearms.
Daniel Renova is wanted in connection with the possession of the stolen firearms and possession of dangerous drugs.
Daniel Renova also has an active $75,000.00 warrant from a previous law enforcement contact.
Julio Lopez, Kira Trivette, and Nicholas Noriega were all arrested for possession of stolen firearms and booked at the Needles jail on S50,000.00 bail.
This investigation is still on going.
