Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a man for 2 residential burglaries.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station went to the 1200 block of Lillyhill Drive in Needles, California for a residential burglary.
The homeowner discovered that an unknown subject tried to enter to the home’s attached garage by kicking at the door.
While in the neighborhood, Deputy Abell was approached by another homeowner reporting that their nearby home had been burglarized in the same manner.
Deputy Yates, who was assisting with the investigation, located 19 year old Richard Ryan Leonard from Needles, California hiding near the victim’s homes.
Richard Ryan Leonard ran from the deputies and led them on a foot pursuit to the visiting lobby area of the Colorado River Medical Center located on Bailey Ave in Needles, California where he was found and arrested.
Deputies found evidence linking Richard Ryan Leonard to the 2 burglaries.
Richard Ryan Leonard was booked at the Colorado River Station Jail in Needles, California for PC 459: Residential Burglary and his bail was set at $25,000.
