Golden Shores, AZ: Large crow causes small power outage and shuts down cable and internet service.

A large crow caused a small power outage and shuts down cable and internet service in Golden Shores, Arizona after landing on a transformer.

ZachNews recived these pictures from Timothy Terral of the large crow incident which occurred at approximately 11:45am MST on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017.

Between 6 to 7 customers lost power, including to the Silver Dollar Chuckwagon restaurant preventing them from preparing meals.

The power outage also affected cable and internet service with Golden Valley Cable and Communication after their headend building lost power shutting down cable and internet service.

Crews with Mohave Electric Cooperative worked on restoring power service to their affected customers well crews with Golden Valley Cable and Communication worked to restore cable and internet service to their affected customers.

Approximately an hour later, crews with Mohave Electric Cooperative were able to replace the blown fuse, restored power, and removed the large crow from the power lines.

Also, crews from Golden Valley Cable and Communication were able to restore all cable and internet service to their affected customers.
