Breaking News!!: Downtown Needles, CA: Small brush fire reported in an empty lot next to the Cubs liquor store.
A small brush fire was reported in an empty lot next to the Cubs liquor store, along the 600 block of West Broadway near C Street, in Downtown Needles, California.
Some grey and later white smoke was seen all the way over at Needles High School where the Needles Mustangs was playing against Battle Mountain Longhorn in a state semi final football game which was being broadcast live at ZachNews on Facebook.
Well reporting on the latest football game scores at halftime, ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez spotted the grey and white smoke to the east of Needles High School.
These pictures sent into ZachNews by Timothy Terral shows the first responders and law enforcement putting out the small brush fire in the empty lot.
Firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Station 32 responded to the small brush fire and began structure protection on the Cubs liquor store building well deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station closed West Broadway near the small brush fire.
The small brush fire was put out quickly and West Broadway has since been reopened.
At this moment, the cause of the small brush fire is unknown.
