First one was with Zach Leffers and Chris Kehl of S.R.S. Real Estate, they’re representatives who work directly for a number of national regional retail who want to expand, this includes companies like Raising Cane (Fast food restaurant), and then Nick Wirick of Lee and Associates who represents a number of major retails, including Farmer Boys (Restaurant chain), Grocery Outlet (Supermarket), Family Dollar (Variety store), and Rite Aid who found out is staying; and we’re trying to get them hocked up with this next group Scott Faucet and Mike Ledeen retail shopping center developers Los Angeles on develop a project on J Street with Judge Morris. I met with the Marriott Corporation (Hospitality company) about a potential indoor or interior entry hotel in Needles. We met with Jayson Radwan of Atlas Properties – his sister wasn’t there this year – but they own the Needles Towne Center now, he completed some improvements and he’s going to continue, about 18 months, and then it should be complete and all brought up to speed, including the new restaurant that going to be open (Flavor Of India, serving Indian cuisine). Steve Rawlings, an industrial flex space developer seeking additional opportunities, he did a couple of big projects in Lake Elsinore and he’s looking for another light industrial; we told him about our electrical cost – everything and he was very interested. Chris Bergren of Evergreen Development, who develops the tops facilities like Smart and Final (Warehouse-like supermarket chain) which we are looking at Smart and Final Extra, their grocery store, coming to Needles – that would be perfect fit for us – we met with them. Nina Patel of Intel Financial – already owns a bunch of land in Needles – with John fender at 3396 Needles Highway (Fender’s River Road Resort and Motel) and they’re looking at putting in additional housing units on their property they have plus their talking about tearing down the hotel that is there; it’s just like a 6 room hotel and building a resort out there so that will be nice,” said Needles Vice City Mayor Jeff Williams.

City of Needles officials as well as the people of Needles, California all hope that the meetings with Needles Vice City Mayor Jeff Williams and Needles City Council Member Shawn Gudmundson during the International Council of Shopping Centers (I.C.S.C.) Western Conference and Deal Making Trade Show will result in more new retail businesses coming into their community, just like past retail businesses did including the 99 Cents Only Store (Opened Thursday, August 21st, 2014), Dollar General store (Opened Sunday, October 23rd, 2016), and AutoZone (Opened Friday, August 25th, 2017) just to name a few.
