News Update!!: Needles, CA: New Flavor of India opens at the Needles Towne Center.

The new Flavor of India opened opened on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at the Needles Towne Center in Needles, California.

Flavor of India is latest business to open up shop at the Needles Towne Center since the opening of the new AutoZone in late August 2017 and will be serving up India cuisine right off of historic Route 66.

Owner and employees of the new Flavor of India were greeted on their grand opening day by Needles Vice Mayor Jeff Williams and got to talk with the owner about their new restaurant and the buffet.

Customers who in for the grand opening of the new Flavor of India got to enjoy Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Curry, Vegetable Biryani, Gulab Jaman, Saag, Achaar, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi.

The buffet items changes daily with different items to enjoy during lunch and dinner.

After trying the food, first customer Jeff Williams said he got to try a bit of everything in the buffet and the food was great.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez also got to enjoy the lunch buffet at the new Flavor of India.

The Tandoori Chicken – marinated skinless chicken in tomato yogurt sauce and spices – was cooked good, spiced just right, and had just the right amount of heat to enjoy.

The Chicken Curry – boneless chicken cooked in special onion and garlic base sauces – was prepared with love; the boneless chicken came out great; soft, easy to chew, and delicious; with a lot of favors and spiced just right to enjoy in comfort.

The Vegetable Biryani – lightly spiced rice preparation mixed with vegetable – was fluffy and delightful.

The Saag – Traditional Punjabi dish cooked with lightly spiced cream mustard greens and spinach – was creamy and good; a wonderful vegetarian dish I enjoyed and gave me a new way to enjoy my spinach.

The Garlic Naan – leavened bread baked in clay oven garnished with cilantro and garlic – was hot and fresh, and kept on coming to your table by friendly staff.

The Gulab Jaman – fried flour and milk dumplings in syrup – was warm and sweet, a nice light sweet dessert after a delicious meal.

The Mango Lassi – mango shake made with homemade yogurt – was smooth and sweet, great on ice on a hot day.

All of the food in the buffet I’ve never tried before and after eating at the new Flavor of India, I enjoyed the delicious food and friendly service that will bring me back for more.
