N.C.C. Action: Conference with Real Property Negotiators pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8: Property: Agency negotiator City Manager Rick Daniels or his designee. Negotiating Parties are the City of Needles as the potential seller and Judge Pat Morris as the potential buyer of the property described as generally located on the right side of J Street adjacent to the Nikki Bunch Franz Flower Memorial Park, APN 0185-221-13, and the City of Needles as the potential buyer and Judge Pat Morris as the potential seller of the property described as generally located behind the Nikki Bunch Franz Flower Memorial Park, APN 0185192-50. A person recognized and thanked the new Needles Code Enforcement Officer Adrian Chavez for the work he’s doing in the community, and spoke about the beautification of the community related to the on and off ramps along Interstate 40 and how those areas are needing to be work on by Caltrans clean up and removing dead vegetation.

Another person spoke about the City of Needles and how they should do more marketing of their community.

Members of the Needles City Council unanimously voted to approved a letter of support for the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe supporting their opposing the river regatta and request an environmental impact study.

Before the vote, Fort Mojave Indian Tribal Chairman Timothy Williams spoke to members of the Needles City Council regarding the vote made by members of the Bullhead City Council in opposition to the River Regatta.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, members of the Bullhead City Council have voted 6-1 to approve the deal with Marnell Gaming to take over the River Regatta, including owning, operating, and managing the river float.
