Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Police pursuit of a man on a quad.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were in a police pursuit of a man on a quad through the streets and desert of Needles, California.
At around 11:50pm PT on Monday, October 23rd, 2017, reports over the police scanner that a man on a white quad went pass Needles High School and towards the Needles Rodeo Ground and near by water towers.
Residents reporting lights and sirens waking them up and patrol vehicles driving around their area.
As deputies arrive to that location, the man on the quad began heading east through the desert.
At 12:09am PT on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, reports that the quad was heard in the area of Coronado Street and Peru Street.
At 12:25am PT, deputies began searching the residential area around Coronado Street and Peru Street, but didn’t find anything and began heading eastward along Lilyhill Drive.
At 1:16am PT, deputies spotted quad tracks behind the 99 Cent Only Store near Ice Plant Road and heard the quad driving along the railroad track near Smith Road.
Deputies began searching the area along the railroad tracks.
At around 1:20am PT, a deputy reports over the police scanner that the quad has entered into Arizona via the Needles Bridge.
ZachNews has has learned that a roadblock was set up on the Needles Bridge but the quad went around the roadblock.
The man on the quad remains at large and authorities will be watching out.
ZachNews has reached out to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and said that more information will be release when they become available.
