News Update!!: Mohave County, AZ: Minivan rolls over and hits a Arizona Department of Public Safety vehicle along Interstate 40.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety, a minivan full of people rolls over and hits an Arizona Department of Public Safety vehicle along westbound Interstate 40 at mile post 8, just west of State Route 95, in Mohave County, Arizona.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez and local resident rushed to the scene of the crash and capture these pictures of the crash.

NBC affiliate KPNX Channel 12 is reporting that a Arizona Department of Public Safety vehicle was in a median crossover monitoring westbound traffic when the minivan driver, headed west, lost control.

Near by Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers along with deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, and firefighters from both Desert Hills Fire Department, Golden Shores Fire Department and Yucca Fire Department responded to the crash.

Medical helicopters also responded to the crash to transport some of the injured.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, 3 of the 12 people who were in the van were flown to a Las Vegas trauma center, and the rest of the occupants were taken to a nearby hospital.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the trooper was not injured.
