Breaking News!!: Las Vegas, NV: Shooting during the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

There has been a shooting during the Route 91 Harvest Festival, near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino along the Las Vegas Strip, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The initial shots were reported around 10:30pm PT on Sunday, October 1st, 2017.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say that 50 people are dead and over 200 people were injured in the shooting.

ZachNews has learn that an off-duty Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival was killed in the shooting and at least 2 on-duty Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer were injured in the shooting; an officer is in stable condition after surgery and another officer sustained minor injuries.

The Bakersfield Police Department has confirmed in a press release that several off-duty officers were wounded in shooting during the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department can confirmed that the suspect is dead and is “a local resident”, but the suspect’s identity or the suspect’s resident location wasn’t release to the news media.

NBC News is reporting that the shooter has been identified as 64 year old Stephen Paddock.

According to Sheriff Joseph Lombardo , the shooter was on 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay and is dead.

I believe it’s a lone wolf acting out,” said Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.

NBC affiliate KSNV Channel 3 is also reporting that the suspect may have been from Mesquite, Nevada.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is looking for 62 year old Marilou Danley.

Marilou Danley is described as an Asian woman, 4’11” and 111lbs.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say they do not yet know if Marilou Danley played a part in the shooting at Mandalay Bay, but are interested in speaking with her.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is also searching for 2 vehicles; a Chrysler Pacifica with Nevada license plate: 79D-401 and a 2017 Hyundai Tucson (Pictured Above) with Nevada license plate: 114-B40.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say if anybody with any information on her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking anybody with videos or pictures from the shooting to please provide those videos or pictures to law enforcement.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say that at this moment, they do not believe there are any more shooters.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that there is no explosion or suspicious vehicle at the Luxor Resort and Casino.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public to please stay away from the Las Vegas Strip area.

Authorities are clearing the area, including moving people out of the area on buses.

Several roads in the Las Vegas Strip area are closed because of the situation.

Interstate 15 is closed to traffic at this time from Tropicana Road to Russell Road.

According to McCarran International Airport, limited flight activity has resumed.

McCarran International Airport ask the public to please monitor flight status with your airline and to expect on going delays.

The Mandalay Bay Resort has posted a statement and tweet on their Twitter page regarding the shooting.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department tweet on their Twitter page regarding the shooting, “Our condolences go out to the families who lost loved ones tonight. Thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this tragedy.

Carolyn G. Goodman, Mayor of Las Vegas, has tweeted, “Pray for Las Vegas. Thank you to all our first responders out there now.

Brian Sandoval, Governor of Nevada, has tweeted, “A tragic & heinous act of violence has shaken the #Nevada family. Our prayers are w/ the victims & all affected by this act of cowardice.

Dean Heller, Nevada United States Senator, has tweeted, “Senseless, horrifying act of violence in Las Vegas tonight. Praying for all the victims & those impacted by the tragedy.”

Dina Titus‏, First District of Nevada Congresswoman for the United States House of Representative, has tweeted, “I’m monitoring the situation on Las Vegas Blvd. Follow @LVMPD for updates. My thoughts and prayers are with all impacted.”
