Needles, CA: Deputies arrested 2 people during traffic stop for transportation of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday, August 6, 2017, deputies from the Colorado River Station contacted 43 year old Shayleen Coon from Searchlight, Nevada, 26 year old Trenton Mick from Bullhead City, Arizona and 41 year old Truman Pointer from Bullhead City, Arizona during a traffic stop on Needles Highway near West Broadway in Needles, California.

During the investigation, Ms. Coon was found to be in possession of over 70 grams of suspected heroin, 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and over $2000 in cash.
Mr. Mick was found in possession of a loaded firearm.
It was later discovered that Mick was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior felony convictions.
Truman Pointer was found to be in possession of hypodermic syringes.
The driver, Shayleen Coon, was arrested for transportation of a controlled substance.
Shayleen Coon’s bail was set at $50,000.
The passenger, Trenton Mick was arrested for transportation of a controlled substance and for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm.
Trenton Mick’s bail was set at $50,000.
The additional passenger, Truman Pointer was cited for being in possession of drug paraphernalia and was released from police custody.
