Weather Alert!!: San Bernardino County, CA: Thunderstorms moving towards Route 66 and Colorado River communities.
Thunderstorms are moving north towards Route 66 and Colorado River communities, including Essex, California; Fenner, California; Goffs, California; Needles, California; and Topock, Arizona.
As seen on the KNBC Channel 4 weather radar, thunderstorms have moderate to heavy rain falling with possible thunder with lightning.
If you’re in the area of Essex, California; Fenner, California; Goffs, California; Needles, California; and Topock, Arizona, please be ready for the storms and if there’s any flooding along dirt channels, creeks, or rivers, stay away and don’t drive through the flooded roadway.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch until 10:00pm PT on Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 for portion of southeast California, including the following areas, Cadiz Basin, Death Valley National Park, Eastern Mojave Desert, Morongo Basin, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley, and Western Mojave Desert.
