Barstow, CA: Person arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 9:00am PT on Thursday, March 16th, 2017, deputies from the Barstow Station responded to a residence in the 36000 block of Hayward Avenue in Barstow, California for reports of a stabbing.
Deputy Randy Duran arrived at the location and found 2 subjects with knife wounds.
Deputy Randy Duran determined an argument took place and 23 years old Alexander Monohan became physical and attacked the victim.
At one point, the victim armed themselves with a knife and the two struggled over it.
Both subjects received serious injuries and cuts while fighting over the knife.
The victim drove to a nearby Urgent Care for sutures.
Deputy Randy Duran arrested Alexander Monahan for assault with a deadly weapon.
Alexander Monohan was treated for a leg wound at Barstow Community Hospital, then booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
Alexander Monohan’s bail was set at $50,000.00.
