News Update!!: Needles, CA: Identity confirmed in fatal pedestrian versus a semi truck collision along Interstate 40.
ZachNews can confirm the identity of the person in a fatal pedestrian versus a semi truck collision along Interstate 40 in Needles, California on Sunday, January 8th, 2017.
According to the Mike Sutcliffe, Supervising Deputy Coroner’s Investigator with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Division, the pedestrian has been identified as 27 year old Cheyenne “Chey” Amber Tsosie from Mohave Valley, Arizona.
According to the California Highway Patrol, at approximately 11:00pm PT on Sunday, January 8th, 2017, a 2011 freight-liner tractor/trailer combination vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 just east of J street in Needles, California in the number 2 lane at a stated speed of 57 mph.
For undetermined reason, a pedestrian stepped into the number 2 lane of eastbound interstate 40 directly in front of the tractor/trailer combination vehicle due to this collision the pedestrian sustained fatal.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the pedestrian who was hit was a female adult, not a child.
