Breaking News!!: Columbus, OH: Attacker shot and killed after attacking several people at Ohio State University.
Ohio State Police say a lone attacker was shot and killed after purposely driving over the curb into a crowd of pedestrians and getting out of his vehicle and began attacking people by stabbing them with a butcher knife on the campus of Ohio State University on Monday, November 28th, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio.
United States Officials have identified the attacker as 18 year old Abdul Razak Ali Artan.
NBC News is reporting that the attacker was a student, a Somali refugee, and permanent United States resident.
ZachNews has learned that the police department officer credited in taking down the attacker, reportedly in less than a minute after he responded to the scene, has been identified as 28 year old Alan Horujko, a Ohio State University Police Department Officer.

At least 11 people are hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and are being treated at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Ohio Health Grant Medical Center, and Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Ohio State University Police Department initially reported an “active shooter” situation on the campus of Ohio State University at around 9:56am ET.
The Ohio State University Emergency Management issued an alert was issued for an active shooter on Ohio State University’s Campus.

Authorities told people to shelter in place and avoid the area of College Road north.
Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded to the scene.
A lockdown on schools in Upper Arlington have been lifted and classes are resuming as normal.
Earlier, schools in Upper Arlington were placed on lockdown because of the active shooter situation.
The Ohio State University Campus remains open during the continued investigation, but classes have been canceled for the remainder of the day.
