Yucca, AZ: Victims and suspect identities released in a deadly shooting.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has released names of the victims and suspect involved in a deadly shooting that happened on Sunday, October 30th, 2016 in Yucca, Arizona.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, detectives arrested 59 year old Douglas Wayne Gleason of Yucca, Arizona Sunday evening for 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felonies.
At approximately 6:50pm PT, deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 11700 block of South Sherry Road.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, identified as 57 year old Merri Gay Blackwell.
The victim reported that Douglas Wayne Gleason, her husband, assaulted her and her 65 year old brother identified as David Bruce Winebrenner.
All 3 subjects live at the residence.
Deputies learned that Douglas Wayne Gleason left the residence prior to their arrival.
Gleason was not located as deputies checked the residence and property.
Deputies left the residence and were later called back at about 9:15pm PT as Douglas Wayne Gleason had returned to the house.
Upon arrival, deputies observed the house was dark.
Deputies approached the residence and observed Merri Gay Blackwell lying on the ground in the living room and David Bruce Winebrenner sitting on the couch with blood on his head.
A perimeter was established around the residence as Gleason was believed to be in the residence.
As additional units arrived on scene Merri Gay Blackwell was extracted from the residence and taken to medical personnel waiting near the scene.
Attempts to contact Douglas Wayne Gleason continued.
Douglas Wayne Gleason, the suspect eventually came out of the residence and was taken into police custody at 9:56pm PT.
Detectives responded and took over the investigation.
Merri Gay Blackwell suffered a gunshot wound and was airlifted to University Medical Center where she is currently listed in critical condition.
David Bruce Winebrenner was deceased at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
Douglas Wayne Gleason was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
This case remains under investigation and autopsy results are pending.
