Downtown Needles, CA: Man arrested for child endangerment of an 11 month old baby.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on Thursday, October 13th, 2016, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were dispatched to a disturbance near the intersection of G Street and West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California.
Through the investigation, a person identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as 22 year old Matthew Kormes of Needles, California was found to be extremely intoxicated and under the influence of methamphetamine.
Matthew Kormes was holding the 11 month old victim as he smashed the windshield of his exgirlfriends vehicle with the car stereo he ripped out of it.
Matthew Kormes caused chards of glass and dust to be sprayed into air in the direction of the victim.
Matthew Kormes was arrested for PC273a(a) Child Endangerment and was booked into the Colorado River Jail in Needles, California where his bail was set at $100.000.00.
The victim was released to the mother.
