According to the California Highway Patrol, 31 people died in collisions during 2015 Memorial Day with two-thirds of those killed in the California Highway Patrol’s jurisdiction were not wearing seat belts.
“Everyone inside the vehicle should be safely secured every trip, every time. Seat belts reduce serious crash-related injuries and death,” said California Highway Patrol Commissioner Joe Farrow.
Please make sure to wear your safety belt when driving and never drink under the influence; that including both on land and on the water.
