Needles, CA: Suspects arrested for child endangerment.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 11:57am PT on Friday, May 27th, 2016, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station were dispatched to a house on the 500 block of Acoma Street in Needles, California following the report of 2 abandoned children.

When deputies arrived on scene, a 3 year old child and 7 month old child were found in the residence.

The parents of the children were found a sleep in a bedroom.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that the interior of the residence was deemed unsafe due to animal feces and human waste, and the foul odor was emitting throughout the residence.

After further examination of the residence and speaking with the parents, both were arrested for child endangerment.

The 2 individuals are identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as 22 year old Tiffany Jenson and 44 year old James Nagel, both from Needles, California.

Both were transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and bail was set at $100,000.

The children were released into the custody of the San Bernardino County’s Children and Family Services.
