Breaking News!!: Inglewood, CA: Los Angeles Rams’ new stadium will host the Super Bowl in 2021.
The National Football League (N.F.L.) announced on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 that the Los Angeles Rams’ new stadium in Inglewood, California will host Super Bowl football game in 2021.
Inglewood Mayor James Butts was excited about the news and said, “The City of Inglewood is thrilled to be the host for the most watched, single sporting event in the world, Super Bowl 55. Working with the City of Los Angeles, we intend to help make it the greatest fan experience in the history of the NFL. After a 20 year hiatus, professional football is back.”

The Los Angeles Rams’ new $2.6 billion stadium is planned to open in 2019.
The news of the Super Bowl being hosted in the Los Angeles, California area has got people excited since Los Angeles, California hasn’t hosted a Super Bowl in the area since 1993 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California where at least 5 Super Bowls have been played at the Rose Bowl and at least 2 Super Bowls have been played at the Los Angeles Coliseum just south of Downtown Los Angeles, California.
Until the new stadium is completed, the Los Angeles Rams will play at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was also excited about the news and said, “Los Angeles is built to host the Super Bowl. We helped forge this great American tradition as its very first host in 1967; and now, at long last, we’re bringing it back where it belongs.”
