Essex, CA: Man arrested for possession of loaded firearms following reports of shots fired at a train.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 5:52pm PT on Sunday, May 15th, 2016, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station received a call from Burlington Northern Santa Fe about a subject in a Maroon FJ Cruiser shooting at a train near Goffs Road in Essex, California.
Once in the area, the suspect vehicle was located and the driver was stopped and contacted.
The driver, identified as 32 year old Richard Clark from Valencia, California, was found to be on supervised probation.
Richard Clark was detained and a search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of 3 loaded and stolen firearms.
In addition to the firearms, a large amount of illegal narcotics was also located.
Richard Clark was arrested and is currently in police custody at the High Desert Detention Center.
Richard Clark is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 17th, 2016 and is being held on $50,000.00 bail.
