According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station Captain Ross Tarangle, “One of the things that the Sheriff’s Department, the local schools, and the local service organizations are saying is an increase in juveniles found in possession of marijuana that’s originating from a local dispensers.”

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station Captain Ross Tarangle said that this problem also coincides with experience in Colorado where schools he said are seeing an expulsion rate that is up 50% involving juveniles and drugs.

“So now we are seeing that marijuana from local dispensaries is finding their way into our youth in our community,” said San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station Captain Ross Tarangle.

In light of the influx of marijuana industry in the community, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station Captain Ross Tarangle said that they are going to be working with City of Needles Staff to examine staffing at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station so we can insure issues that could possibly come into town, base in experience other places that have similar industries.
