Boston, MA: Paying homage to the Boston Marathon victims and survivors on One Boston Day.
Families, friends, and a community joined City of Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker on Friday, April 15th, 2016 to pay homage to the victims and survivors of the terrorist bombing attacks during the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15th, 2013.
A moment of silence was held across the city was held at 2:49pm PT, the time when the first bomb was detonated near the marathon finish line, and a wreath laying occurred during a ceremony along Boylston Street in Boston, Massachusetts.
People took part in blood drives, food, and clothing donations and other community service projects during a day of service and kindness across Boston, Massachusetts known as “One Boston Day” paying tribute to the Boston Marathon victims and survivors.

At lease 3 people were killed and over 260 people were injured in the terrorist bombing attacks during the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15th, 2013, and during the search for the 2 terrorist suspects, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Police Department Officer was killed in a deadly shootout with the 2 terrorist suspects on Thursday, April 18th, 2016.
In a statement, Lisa O. Monaco, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism said, “Just as the world has repeatedly demonstrated after the horrors of San Bernardino, Paris, Brussels, and elsewhere, the people of Boston showed that bombs and bullets cannot break our spirit — that freedom will ultimately overcome fear.”
May we always continue remember and pay respect to all the victims and survivors of the terrorist bombing attacks and deadly shooting attack in Boston, Massachusetts.
May we always give thanks to all of the good samaritans and all of the man and woman in the fire department, medical services for all their hard work in saving the lives of innocent people.
May we always give thanks to all of the man and woman in law enforcement for hunting down and taking down the evil terrorists.
