Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Police pursuit speeds through community.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were in pursuit of a vehicle through Needles, California just after 9:30pm PT on Tuesday, March 15th, 2016.
The police pursuit of a dark vehicle, possibly black or gray color vehicle, drove westbound on Needles Highway passing Q Street at speeds over 90 miles per hour.
The police pursuit then entered eastbound Interstate 40 and drove pass J Street at speeds over 100 miles per hour.
The police pursuit then passed over the Colorado River and entered into Topock, Arizona on eastbound Interstate 40 at speeds still near 100 miles per hour.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department vehicles began the police pursuit and as the police pursuit entered into Mohave, County, Arizona, a helicopter from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office was called in as well as Arizona D.P.S.
The helicopter from Mohave County Sheriff’s Office began following the police pursuit as the vehicle continued eastbound on Interstate 40 passing Rice Road (Highway 95) next to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
During the police pursuit, the vehicle almost hit another vehicle and 2 semi trucks.
According to police scanner communication, the vehicle began to slow down to a stop along eastbound Interstate 40 near mile marker #27 near Yucca, Arizona.
ZachNews has learned from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station that the police pursuit stopped along eastbound Interstate 40 near mile marker 27 just east of Yucca, Arizona with a person in police custody and with no law enforcement officers injured.
