Breaking News!!: Sunol, CA: A.C.E. Commuter Train Derailed.
Authorities say that at least 14 people have been injured after a commuter passenger train derailed near Sunol, California on Monday, March 7th, 2016.
The A.C.E. Commuter Train, reportedly carrying 214 passengers aboard, was traveling from Silicon Valley, California to Stockton, California when the derailment happened which left one of its cars to fall into a creek.
According to Alameda County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson, the commuter passenger train car was partially submerged in water.
According to the Alameda Fire Department, all passengers have been evacuated from the derailed commuter passenger train and were checked by paramedics.
According to Alameda County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson, the Altamont Corridor Express (A.C.E.) commuter passenger train No. 10 went off the tracks near Niles Canyon Road.
