Breaking News!!: Laughlin, NV: Power is being restored after transformer explodes at NV Energy Plant.
Power is being restored to residents and businesses in Laughlin, Nevada after a transformer exploded at around 7:00pm PT on Friday, February 19th, 2016.
The transformer fire happened at the NV Energy Plant located on the 400 block of West Bruce Woodbury Drive in Laughlin, Nevada and left around 5,300 customers without power.
According to the Clark County Fire Department, there were no reports of injuries and the cause of the transformer fire is under investigation.
According to NV Energy, estimates full power to be restored to all customers in the Laughlin, Nevada area hopefully by about 2:00am PT on Saturday, February 20th, 2016.
