News Update!!: Needles, CA: Latest information regarding FedEx semi truck fire on Interstate 40.
A FedEx semi truck fire along westbound Interstate 40, between Highway 95 and Water Road, west of Needles, California was reported at around 6:11am PT on Sunday, January 17th, 2016.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Incident Information Page, the cab of the FedEx semi truck was fully engulfed in flames on the right shoulder.
San Bernardino County Fire Department and Mohave Valley Fire Department were called and responded to the FedEx semi truck fire.
San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the FedEx semi truck fire and firefighters began to put out flames to the cab area.
The FedEx semi truck fire was pulling 2 FedEx trailers and part of the front FedEx trailer caught on fire nearest to where the cab and some packets where seen on the interstate near the back area of the front FedEx trailer.
A water tender and a water tanker from Mohave Valley Fire Department went by ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez with their lights and sirens on heading westbound on Needles Highway passing Q Street to the FedEx semi truck fire.
According to the California Highway Patrol Dispatch in Barstow, California tell ZachNews that all occupants got out of the semi truck uninjured.
The fire destroyed the cab of the FedEx semi truck and destroyed part of the front FedEx trailer caught on fire nearest to where the cab, but the back FedEx trailer did not get destroyed.
The cause of the FedEx semi truck fire is under investigation.
A hard closure of the #3 lane on westbound Interstate 40 was in affect until clean up and investigation is completed.
