**** Wind Advisory!!: ****

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Wind Advisory that will be in effect from 7:00pm MT on Sunday, December 13th, 2015 until 5:00am MT on Monday, December 14th, 2015 for portions of San Bernardino County, California, Clark County, Nevada, and Northern Mohave County, Arizona, including Northwest Plateau-Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Eastern Mojave Desert – Morongo Basin, Northeast Clark County – Las Vegas Valley, and Southern Clark County.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada, winds from the southwest from 25 to 35 mph, with gusts to 45 mph, are expected to increase late Sunday afternoon with the strongest winds throughout the evening for much of San Bernardino County, California, Clark County, Nevada, and Northern Mohave County, Arizona.

A wind advisory means that crosswinds are expected to be strong enough to make driving difficult…especially for high profile vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada wants the public to know to use extra caution and beware of areas of blowing dust with reduced visibility, and drivers of motorcycles, vans, campers, trailers, and any high- profile vehicle should be alert to the danger of strong winds in the area.

Cities and areas effected by the Wind Advisory includes Colorado City, Arizona; Pipe Spring National Monument, Arizona; Tweep, Arizona; Mount Trumbull, Arizona; Western Grand Canyon, Arizona; Bullhead City, Arizona; Mohave Valley, Arizona; Baker, California; Mountain Pass, California; Mitchell Caverns, California; Morongo Valley, California; Yucca Valley, California; Twentynine Palms, California; Mesquite, Nevada; Overton, Nevada; Moapa, Nevada; Las Vegas, Nevada; North Las Vegas, Nevada; Henderson, Nevada; Boulder City, Nevada; Laughlin, Nevada; Primm, Nevada; Searchlight, Nevada; Cal-Nev-Ari, Nevada; and the Hoover Dam area.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada, winds will gradually decrease late Sunday night in most areas.

Breezy, with a south southeast wind 18 to 23 mph decreasing to 8 to 13 mph after 12:00am MT.

Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

– Monday:

Mostly sunny, high near 57*F.

Light and variable wind becoming north 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon.

Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

– Monday Night:

Mostly clear, low around 31*F.

South wind 14 to 16 mph becoming north in the evening.

Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

**** Mohave County, Arizona: ****

– According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, motorists traveling on State Route 95 (also known as Mohave Valley Highway) should use caution driving through this area as pavement maintenance work is scheduled for the next 2 weeks from Courtwright Road to College Road (From Milepost 227 to Milepost 241) in Mohave County, Arizona.

The road work will happen between the hours on 6:00am to 6:00pm MT from Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 to Tuesday, December 15th, 2015.

Motorists should be prepared for intermittent lane closures in both directions and brief delays while crews perform preventive maintenance work.

Construction will include the application of a protective layer to the pavement, designed to preserve the existing roadway.

The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

Motorists are reminded to proceed with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
