The Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 2015 will be held from 10:00am to 6:00pm PT on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 in Downtown Needles, California.

Every year, the annual Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 brings out the whole community to a Christmas and Holiday Celebration which includes variety of family fun activities all happening in Downtown Needles, California.

ZachNews -- Traffic Alert!!Event and Parade Road Closures and Detours

**** Event Road Closures: ****

Due to the Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 2015 event, there will be road closures area the Downtown Needles, California, including for the Lighted Parade (Yellow Line).

** Main Event Road Closures (Red Line): **

F Street between Front Street (Near Santa Fe Park) to Front Street (Near Needles Regional Museum) will be closed for the Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 2015 event starting at around 8:00am PT and lasting until 6:15pm PT.

Front Street between F Street to G Street will be closed for the Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 2015 event starting at around 8:00am PT and lasting until 6:15pm PT.

G Street between Front Street (Near Needles Regional Museum) to Front Street (Near El Garces Train Depot) will be closed for the Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 2015 event starting at around 8:00am PT and lasting until 6:15pm PT.

** Lighted Parade Road Closures (Orange Lines): **

West Broadway between D Street to G Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

Front Street between A Street to D Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the lighted parade for lighted parade preparation.

D Street between Front Street to West Broadway will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

West Broadway between D Street to G Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

F Street between West Broadway to Front Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

Front Street between F Street to G Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

G Street between Front Street (Near Needles Regional Museum) to Front Street (Near El Garces Train Depot) will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

Front Street between G Street to H Street will be closed for the lighted parade starting an hour before the start of the lighted parade.

 

** Lighted Parade Detour (Green Lines): **

To get around the lighted parade road closures from the east side on West Broadway, motorist can take either C Street or D Street from West Broadway southbound to Third Street and head westbound to either G Street or J Street near the on ramps to Interstate 40.

To get around the lighted parade road closures from the west side on West Broadway, motorist can take either J Street near the on ramps to Interstate 40 or G Street from West Broadway southbound to Third Street and head eastbound to either D Street or C Street.

Big rig trucks should take Interstate 40 between J Street and East Broadway (State Route 95) to get around the lighted parade road closures.

**** Traffic for Mohave County, Arizona: ****

– According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, motorists traveling on State Route 95 (also known as Mohave Valley Highway) should use caution driving through this area as pavement maintenance work is scheduled for the next 2 weeks from Courtwright Road to College Road (From Milepost 227 to Milepost 241) in Mohave County, Arizona.

The road work will happen between the hours on 6:00am to 6:00pm MT from Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 to Tuesday, December 15th, 2015.

Motorists should be prepared for intermittent lane closures in both directions and brief delays while crews perform preventive maintenance work.

Construction will include the application of a protective layer to the pavement, designed to preserve the existing roadway.

The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

Motorists are reminded to proceed with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
