Needles, CA: Welcome the new El Rio Burritos inside the Westside Chevron Circle K.

The new El Rio Burritos opened to the community at the Westside Chevron Circle K on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 to fresh and delicious reviews.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez tried the food and took pictures of the fresh and delicious food that are available for you to taste and enjoy.

Many of the customers who came in last week, including ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez, said the food was great, delicious, and was a taste of Baja California; homemade and fresh from the soft and season pork, to the homemade cook beans, no bland food here.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez enjoyed the pork Chile Colorado burrito, Carne Asada hard taco, and the Carne Asada burrito.

All the burritos served with your choice of meat, homemade rice and beans, fresh lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez then enjoyed a bean tostada with fresh beans, rices, chopped lettuce and cheese, and topped with sour cream, and fresh guacamole.

There taquitos are delicious and come with fresh guacamole and  sour cream mixed with cilantro that taste great.

All of the food was very good and were all deliciously eaten up.

For Needles Mustang Students only, come on into the new El Rio Burritos to get the Mustang Meal which is a burrito with your choice of meat and a medium drink for $5.50. The Mustang Meal is available all day and Needles Mustang Students must have student identification.

Co-Owners Blanca Valdez and her husband Luis Valdez, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy, announced the new El Rio Burritos coming to Westside Chevron Circle K in Needles, California during the Needles Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Community Awards held on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 at the AVI Resort and Casion in Laughlin, Nevada.

Blanca Valdez and Luis Valdez talked about opening up a small restaurant before it opened and wanted to have a side business in the community they both love and appreciate. , Blanca said. It was a matter of deciding what type of side business he wanted, she added. Then the pieces fell into place when

Blanca Valdez and Luis Valdez picked the old Chester’s Chicken place which closed over the Summer 2015 as their beginning of their small business.

Blanca Valdez and Luis Valdez talked with Scott Goodman, who owns the Westside Chevron Circle K Station, lease the space to the Blanca Valdez and Luis Valdez, and they moved forward with the restaurant bring life in a once closed place.

There are Mexican food restaurants in and around Needles, California, but both Blanca Valdez and Luis Valdez tell ZachNews that they wanted to offer freash homemade food that’s quick and taste delicious.

ZachNews spoke with Luis Valdez on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 who talked about his hope he cares so much about the community and him being active in the community both coaching and talking with kids all the time which was notices a lot when covering this new restaurant.

Luis Valdez told ZachNews that they give a Needles High School student the chance to design the restaurant’s logo and earn a $50 prize for their created work.

Luis Valdez contacted Needles High School in Needles, California to see about creating a contest.

The winning artist who won was Halley Palacios, a freshman at Needles High School, which her logo can be seen currently inside and outside the new El Rio Burritos.

Luis Valdez told ZachNews that it was a tough choice as all of the students did a great job and showed their creativity.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Luis Valdez will be working at the new El Rio Burritos on his off days and was seen during lunch time welcoming people for coming in and trying their fresh and delicious food.

The new El Rio Burritos is located inside the Westside Chevron Circle K located at 2321 Needles Highway, just south of Interstate 40, in Needles, California.

The new El Rio Burritos is opened Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm PT and on Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm PT. Plans are to be open for dinner hours in the next few months.
