Weather Alert!!: Mohave County, AZ: Flash Flood Warning!!
The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 9:45pm MST on Monday, October 5th, 2015 for Southwestern Mohave County, Arizona.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada, at 7:43pm MST, Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain continue within the warned area near Oatman, Arizona.
Flash flooding is occurring or expected to begin shortly. some locations that will experience flooding includes Bullhead City, Arizona; Yucca, Arizona; Topock, Arizona; Oatman, Arizona; Arizona Village, Arizona; Mesquite Creek, Arizona; Golden Valley, Arizona; Mohave Valley, Arizona; Mojave Ranch Estates, Arizona; Willow Valley, Arizona; and in the “Willow Fire” burned area.
This includes interstate 40 in Arizona between mile markers 1 and 33.
There is reports that County Route 1 closed at Sacramento Wash near Topock, Arizona as well as County Route 1 closed from Power Plant in Mohave Valley, Arizona to Golden Shores, Arizona due to flooding.
There is also reports of washes running on Route 66 near Oatman, Arizona.
Don’t drive into a flooded road, highway, or interstate; “Turn Around… Don’t Drown” when encountering flooded roads. most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
