San Bernardino County, CA: Air rescue of an injured woman from San Gorgonio Mountains.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, September 28th, 2015, 34 year old Rebecca Jorgensen of Oceanside, California was hiking with friends on San Gorgonio Mountain, which is located south of Big Bear, California.
During the hike, Rebecca Jorgensen fell and suffered a major injury.
Rebecca Jorgensen was unable to hike down from the mountain and requested assistance.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Air Rescue06 responded and located Rebecca Jorgensen at the 10,200 foot level on the Vivian Creek Trail.
The crew determined Rebecca Jorgensen would need to be hoist rescued due to her injuries and the location.
The crew performed the rescue of Rebecca Jorgensen.
Rebecca Jorgensen was placed into a Stokes litter and hoisted into the helicopter.
Rebecca Jorgensen was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
