Breaking News!!: Zion National Park, UT: Flash flooding kills 7 hikers from California and Nevada.

Zion National Park Officials have identified 7 hikers, 6 hikers from California and a hiker from Nevada, who were killed in flash flooding that hit on Monday, September 14th, 2015 at Zion National Park in Utah.

** According to Zion National Park Officials, the 7 hikers are identified as the following: **

– 56 year old Mark MacKenzie of Valencia, California

– 57 year old Linda Arthur of Camarillo, California. Linda Arthur is the wife of Steve Authur.

– 58 year old Steve Authur of Camarillo, California. Steve Authur was a Ventura County Sheriff’s Sergeant.

– 51 year old Gary Favela of Rancho Cucamonga, California

– 59 year old Muku Reynolds of Chino, California

– 53 year old Robin Brum of Camarillo, California

– 55 year old Don Teichner of Mesquite, Nevada.

Zion National Park Officials say rescuers traversed a 100-foot drop on Thursday, September 17th, 2015 into a rugged area to find the last of victims.

The 7 hikers were killed on Monday, September 14th, 2015 when fast-moving floodwaters rushed through a narrow park canyon at Zion National Park.

The lost of 7 hikers comes days after the flash flooding killed at least 12 other people, including 9 children, in Hildale, Utah.
