News Alert!!: Forest Falls, CA: Flash flooding kills a hiker.

Flash flooding kills a hiker after water overtook a couple hiking near Mill Creek Crossing in Forest Falls, California on Tuesday, September 9th, 2015.

According to San Bernardino County Fire Department, an off-duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy heard the couple calling for help and was able to save the young woman, but the man was swept away.

This picture from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 shows the survivor of the flash flood who escaped with her life.

The body of the victim, describe as a man in his 20’s from Rancho Cucamonga, California, was found shortly at around 7:00pm PT.

The flash flooding was from storms moving across portions of San Bernardino County, California.

On Wednesday, September 9th, 2015, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Coroner’s Office identified the deceased man as 25 year old Brian Alan Usher of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
