News Update!!: Anaheim, CA: A second person arrested in the murder of Louis Merrigan III.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, during the investigation of this crime, detectives learned a second suspect was directly involved.

At approximately 2:00am PT on Sunday, September 6th, 2015,  investigators served a search warrant and arrest warrant at a motel in Anaheim, where additional evidence was recovered 26 year old Kyle Comrie of Anaheim, California was taken into police custody.

Kyle Comrie was transported back to San Bernardino County and booked into Central Detention Center for Murder at approximately 6:30am PT on Sunday, September 6th, 2015.

This second person being arrested by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department comes just days after an arrest was made of a 15 year old male resident of Phelan, California for the murder of Louis Merrigan III.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at 10:45pm PT on Monday, August 24th, 2015, Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies were called to the 12000 block of Hacienda Road in Phelan, California reference a male adult found unresponsive, outside on the ground, next to a motorhome on the property.

A death investigation was conducted and the cause or manner of death was not immediately known.

The victim has been identified as 58 year old Louis John Merrigan lll of Phelan, California.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Specialized Investigations Division’s Homicide Detail assumed the investigation on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015.

Investigators determined a 15 year old male resident of Phelan, California killed Louis John Merrigan lll on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

On Thursday, September 3rd, 2015, a search warrant and Ramey warrant were served at the suspect’s residence in Phelan, California during the early morning hours and ultimately the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Although one arrest has been made, this investigation is ongoing and detectives are actively following additional leads.
