Needles, CA: Man finds sports medals on ground near Ed Parry Ball Field.

At around 1:00pm PT on Thursday, September 3rd, 2015, a man walks into the Needles Regional Museum Thrift Store in Downtown, Needles California and tells volunteer Jackie Lyman that he found these sports medals laying on the ground near Ed Parry Ball Field in Needles, California.

The man came to the Thrift Store to try to find out who can help and who can he turn these sport medals into.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez was at the Thrift Store when the man walked in and took these pictures of the sports medals that he found.

The man said that he wasn’t sure that if any of the buildings at Ed Parry Ball Field was broken into, but he did see a homeless man in his 40’s, 5’10, 170 pounds, and short brown hair walking away from the area of Ed Parry Ball Field heading to the K Street Underpass with a kids sleeping bag.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez began making calls to people who can track down who’s basketball and baseball sports medals theses were and if these sports medals were left there by mistake or stolen from somewhere.

The sports medals are currently being protected by Jackie Lyman as the search for the sports medals continues.
