News Alert!!: Needles, CA: Man seen walking along Interstate 40, almost gets hit, and threatens passing drivers and ZachNews.

At around 6:20pm PT on Tuesday, August 18th, 2015, a man was seen by a passing motorist and by ZachNews walking westbound on Interstate 40 in Needles, California.

The Hispanic male with tattoos on his arms, dark hair and wearing a dark black shirt was seen yelling at passing motorists.

As the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were called, the man seen us watching him and on the phone and ran across westbound lanes of Interstate 40 almost getting hit by 2 vehicles, ran across eastbound lanes of Interstate 40, and came out onto Needles Highway from near Budget Inn.

The man was seen walking in and out of the double yellow line in the middle of Needles Highway just west of R Street.

The man then ran over to the old Texaco gas station, picked into an old green truck, but there was a fence in the way, and stumbled over to the pink house next to the Texaco gas station just east of the Westside Chevron Gas Station.

About 25 minutes has passed and no law enforcement anywhere, the man then seen ZachNews and walked up to him and began to threaten his life, but ZachNews told him to step back.

After the man faced ZachNews, he walked off and talking to himself passing the Panda Garden restaurant, but then the man ran across the street again to a white man without a shirt came to the crazy man and talked to the shirtless man as the California Highway Patrol vehicle came just before 7:00pm PT.

After a short talk to the crazy man, the man was seen walking away and the California Highway Patrol.

At around 7:10pm PT, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and a Probation Officer showed up after just getting the call, but it was too late as the man was let go and the California Highway Patrol drove off without saying nothing to ZachNews.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy and a Probation Officer quested ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez for a bit and thought that the man who was crossing the interstate was him.

The ZachNews Photojournalist was let go, but neither the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy or the Probation Officer took a report on what happen.

The ZachNews Photojournalist doesn’t do drugs or drink thanks to bad habits by his mother, and he is not on probation for he has never been to jail.
