News Update!!: Studio City, CA: Latest information regarding shooting on Ventura Boulevard.

** As of 10:00am PT on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015: **

– The alleged shooter who was killed by Los Angeles Police Department Officers after firing several shots along the 12000 block of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, California on Friday, July 24th, 2015 was identified on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015.

The shooter was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department as Seth Raines, but the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department did not release any other details about the shooter.

Los Angeles Police Department Tactical Team and Los Angeles Fire Department Firefighters were seen earlier walking up to the body of the shooter and have confirmed the shooter is dead and no explosive device found.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division, Ventura Boulevard between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Laurelgrove Avenue will remain closed for possibly 10 hours as the investigation continues.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division, this was a an officer involved shooting and the shooter is dead.

Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division also is saying that they received a radio call of a “415”, and mention there was a gun and the suspect was randomly firing gun in air.

The reports of shots fired was reported at 3:28pm PT on Friday, July 24th, 2015.

Multiple reports from witnesses that the man sat down at the Union Bank, just next to the Chipotle Mexican Grill, and began shooting into the sky, reloaded, and began shooting again, and when authorities arrived and ordered the shooter to drop the gun, the shooter didn’t and shots were fired by authorities.
