– The pictures and names of the 4 people killed in what is being called an “Act of Terrorism” have been released to the public and media on Friday, July 17th, 2015.
Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan, Staff Sgt. David Wyatt, Sgt. Carson Holmquist, and Lance Cpl. Squire “Skip” Wells were named as the 4 victims by United States Marine Officials.
United States Defense Official are saying that of the 4 victims, 3 United States Marines were on active duty and assigned to the Marine Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, while the fourth United States Marine, Squire “Skip” Wells, was a reservist.

According to MassLive.com, Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan graduated from a local Catholic high school, survived 2 tours of duty in Iraq and earned a Purple Heart.

According to WGCL, Squire “Skip” Wells had just finished boot camp and attended Georgia State University at one point.
Family friends tell ABC News that Squire “Skip” Wells attended Sprayberry High School in northeast Cobb County, Georgia, played the clarinet, and was in the marching band and the ROTC.

According to WRCB, David Wyatt was a U.S. Marines Corps Staff Sergeant, a husband, and father.
According to ABC News, David Wyatt served 3 tours, 1 in Afghanistan, and 2 later tours in Iraq.
The Tennessean reports that David Wyatt’s home stood decorated with American flags, was guarded overnight by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

According to WRCB, Carson Holmquist had a Flintstone, Georgia address and was 27 years old.
According to WNCN, Carson Holmquist was originally from Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
According to WITI Fox 6, Carson Holmquist enlisted in the Marines in January 2009 and had already had 2 tours — 1 in 2013, the other in 2014 — in Afghanistan, and Carson Holmquist got numerous recognitions for his work; the military identified him as an automotive maintenance technician.
Carson Holmquist had a wife and was a father to a son who loved his father so much and on his Facebook page, a picture of a little boy is wearing his father’s combat boots next to a sign which reads,“We miss you Daddy” and in another picture, the little boy holds up a sign that reads, “Welcome home Daddy.”

At least 3 other people, including a law enforcement officer, were injured in the deadly shooting attacks.
One of 2 shooting victims is still in the hospital and has been identified as 26 year old Petty Officer 2nd Class Randall Smith.

Family and friends of Randall Smith are raising money for him using GoFundMe.
Funds will be used to support the family and their needs through out this journey, including medical, transportation and housing expenses as well as for future needs of the family.

According to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Chattanooga Police Department Officer Dennis Pedigo was shot in the ankle, and is doing as well as can be expected and that his long term outlook is very encouraging.
Earlier, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam spoke to the media in Chattanooga, Tennessee Friday morning telling the media, “In the meantime, I think, Chattanooga will do what it does best – support each other and commit to the process that’s needed for a grieving city, and I’m incredibly grateful for the work that’s been done on the local level,”
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam ordered all of the flags over the State Capitol and at State Office buildings to be flown at half-staff in honor of the shooting victims, effective immediately.

– The F.B.I. is saying that an autopsy on the suspect, 24 year old Muhammed Youseef Abdulazeez, will be conducted over the weekend.
Federal Officials are saying that Muhammed Youseef Abdulazeez, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Kuwait, was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and lived in the area for many years.
Investigators are looking into all the places that Muhammed Youseef Abdulazeez lived, visited, or shopped, and who his friends are.
Thursday night, authorities searched Muhammed Youseef Abdulazeez’s home.
Several women were seen being taken into custody in handcuffs, but officials, they are being detained as part of “standard operating procedure.”

– According to the Chattanooga Police Department, the Chattanooga Police Department Officer who was wounded have been identified as Dennis Pedigo and is in stable condition.
Military installations in the Tennessee as well as across the United States of America have been notified and are on alert, but not locked down.
United States Military Official are saying that the shooter fired 25 to 30 rounds at a military recruitment facility, and the shooter later drove about 6 miles to a Navy and Marines reserve center and opened fire on the Navy and Marines reserve center.
Blood Assurance has send multiple units of blood to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee; requesting donations to add those who’ve been injured and shot.
Long lines of people continue to growing as they wait to donate blood to help those in need blood.
The Department of Homeland Security has activated their Chattanooga Strike Team and other district strike teams have been put on standby.
Roads around both areas are closed to traffic as the investigation into the deadly shootings continues.
A reported shooting at the Bradley Square Mall in Cleveland, Tennessee has been ruled as to be false, and authorities are still on hand as they continue to investigate.

– The shooter was arrested for D.U.I. by a Chattanooga Police Department Officer in April 2015.
NBC affiliate WRCB Channel 3 is reporting that Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was stopped in a 2001 grey Camry in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard on April 20.
NBC affiliate WRCB Channel 3 is also reporting that Abdulazeez, who was born in Kuwait, was a naturalized U.S. citizen. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga confirmed that Abdulazeez graduated in 2012.
United States Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch is saying that the F.B.I. will lead ‘national security’ investigation into deadly shooting attacks.

The F.B.I. has released the following statement on the deadly shootings at military facilities in Chattanooga, Tennessee saying, “The FBI’s Knoxville Field Office, along with the Chattanooga Police Department and other law enforcement partners, are working jointly to investigate today’s shootings at a military recruitment center and a reserve center in Chattanooga, Tennessee in which four individuals were killed and three injured. City of Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke said, “Today was a nightmare for the City of Chattanooga.”
Shootings started at 10:45am ET and ended within 30 minutes.
At least 4 people killed and other individuals were have been shot and treated.
United States Attorney Bill Killian is being handled as a domestic terrorism investigation saying, “We are treating this as an act of domestic terrorism.”

The F.B.I. is saying that the Lee Highway site of 1st shooting and the second scene was at Amnicola Highway where 4 Marines were killed.
The F.B.I. is also saying that they had no intelligence that an attack was coming.
There was a police pursuit of the suspect, from the second location, happened before the suspect was taken down in a lot.
Authorities are saying that this is a lone shooter, believe to be a local, believe to be the same shooter at both locations, and was armed with numerous weapons, but won’t say what kind.

Witnesses say shooter in a silver car began shooting from inside the car at the military recruiting center to the windows; pulling up close to the windows.

The United States Navy has confirmed that there has been a shooting at a Navy Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway near River Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
There was another shooting at a military recruiting center inside a shopping plaza on Lee Highway.
The first reports of the shooting came in around 10:45am ET on Thursday, July 16th, 2015.
At this moment, there is no immediate information on the shooter and if the shooter has ties to terrorism.
The F.B.I. and A.T.F. are in route to the scene to aid in the investigation.
U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander released a statement saying, “I am deeply disturbed by reports of a violent attack in Chattanooga. I have been in touch with federal, state and local officials and will monitor the situation closely. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.”
U.S. Senator Bob Corker released a statement saying, “I am heartbroken by the tragic shootings that have taken place today in my hometown,” said Corker. “We have been in touch with federal, state and local officials and continue to monitor developments and have offered our assistance. This is a difficult day for Tennesseans and our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by this tragedy.”
