Needles, CA: 2 residents arrested by authorities for sales of narcotics were later released.
In a press release that was released to the public at 12:22pm PT on Monday, July 13th, 2015 by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 2:28am PT on Saturday, July 11th, 2015, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station responded to a domestic disturbance call at the America’s Best Motel located at 1102 East Broadway (U.S. 95 / Highway 95) in Needles, California.
Deputies made contact with 30 years old Nikki Gayton of Needles, California outside motel room #206 and she said her boyfriend was passed out in the motel and unresponsive.
From outside the motel room, deputies were able to observe a Hispanic male later identified as 30 years old Tory Gonzales of Needles, California laying face down on the bed in the room.
After several minutes, deputies entered the room and found Tory Gonzales to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Deputies located multiple bags of suspected methamphetamines weighing more than 3 ounces and 100 prescription pills identified as Xanax.
Along with the narcotics, deputies also found several thousand dollars in cash.
Upon the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined that Tory Gonzales and Nikki Gayton were suspected for selling narcotics.
Tory Gonzales and Nikki Gayton were subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and booked into Jail in Needles, California.
Since that press release was released to the public from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, ZachNews contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 and Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 to find out if there was any more information available and if there were any updates regarding the people arrested.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station told ZachNews on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 and Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 that they had no further information available at this moment.
ZachNews later found out from the San Bernardino County Inmate Locator website that both Tory Gonzales and Nikki Gayton of Needles, California are “No longer in custody”, charges are, “Description Unavailable”, and court date is, “No Appearance Scheduled”.
ZachNews then asked to talk with San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies Patrick Durham and Deputy Garrett Caddelm, which the press release refers, and was told that they were no further information available.
