News Update!!: Downtown Needles, CA: Construction crews clean up site of residential structure fire.

Constructions crews have been this week cleaning up the site of residential structure fire that happened on the 200 block of I Street between West Broadway and Third Street in Downtown Needles, California on Saturday, June 13th, 2015 which later sparked anger by residents over the response time of the San Bernardino County Fire Department, abandoned buildings in the community, and a local for local fire service in the community.

Constructions crews knocked down the 3 burned and damaged residential structures.

The cause of the fire is being called “Arson” and law enforcement have been getting tips from the community of who was seen running from the location days and how were staying inside the building on the day of the fire.

But, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department hasn’t release any new updates on if the 2 people have been found or arrested, just saying that they are looking into the tips they are receiving.

As the call for local fire department service grows, the City of Needles is seeking volunteers to serve on this new Fire Services Task Force to help develop a plan for establishment of a local fire department to serve Needles, California.

According to the City of Needles, there’s no residency requirements.

As ZachNews reported, members of the Needles City Council voted 5 to 1 to approved to establish a Fire Services Task Force during the Needles City Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 inside the Needles City Council Chambers in Needles, California.
