Weather Alert!!: Colorado River Tri-State: Excessive Heat Watch!!
** Hazardous Weather Conditions: **
The National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nevada will be issuing an Excessive Heat Watch from Thursday, June 18th, 2015 at 10:00am PT until Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at 11:00pm PT for Southern Great Basin and Mojave Desert areas including San Bernardino County, California, Mohave County, Arizona, and Clark County, Nevada.
– Greatest Impacts:
Children, pets, the elderly, the homeless, and people with chronic ailments are the most susceptible to heat-related illness.
Heat exhaustion, cramps, or in extreme cases heat stroke can result from prolonged exposure to these conditions.
Friends, relatives, and neighbors should check on people who may be at risk.
– Precautionary and Preparedness:
The hot temperatures will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Drink plenty of water, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
