Breaking News!!: Apple Valley, CA: Police pursuit of a stolen pickup truck ends in Whittier, California.

A police pursuit of a stolen pickup truck from Apple Valley, California ends with a female suspect being taken down into police custody by Whittier Police Department in Whittier, California at 10:17pm PT on Friday, May 8th, 2015.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the police pursuit started at around 9:20pm PT on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at an AutoZone located on the 20000 block of Outer Highway 18 in Apple Valley, California.

Both the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as well as the California Highway Patrol chased the stolen pickup truck south on Interstate 15 in Apple Valley, California to the westbound Interstate 10 in San Bernardino County, California.

The police pursuit entered into Los Angeles County, California passing West Covina, California along westbound Interstate 10 then went onto southbound Interstate 605.

The police pursuit got onto Pioneer Boulevard from the southbound Interstate 605 and began speeding on streets into a residential area.

The police pursuit ended near Whittier High School in Whittier, California when the stolen pickup truck was blocked by a Whittier Police Department Vehicle.

Authorities had their guns drawn as they ordered the driver to get out with hands up.

The suspect got out and appeared to tried to get away, but was quickly taken down by authorities and was taken into police custody.
