Breaking News!!: Victorville, CA: Vegetation fire in the Mojave River bottom.
San Bernardino County Fire Department are on scene of a vegetation fire in the Mojave River bottom near Interstate 15 and Stoddard Wells Road in Victorville, California.
This vegetation fire was reported at around 12:40pm PT on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015 and is separate from previous vegetation fire named the “River Bottom Fire” which happened on Tuesday, March 31st, 2015.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, voluntary evacuation is happening at the Oasis Campground and a near by homeless encampment.
There are water drops are being done onto the vegetation fire and there is at least 33 San Bernardino County Fire Department Firefighters, inmate hand crew, a dozer, and a water dropping helicopter.
This vegetation fire in riverbed is heavy fuels in dry brush with winds in the area at 20 mph.
San Bernardino County Fire Department Firefighters are making progress in putting out this vegetation fire.
